Alumni Day

This year we are planning to celebrate Alumni Meet in the month of Dec22. This event is special as it marks the 10th year of the first graduating batch. We are having the decennial celebrations for 2012 batch. We will celebrate this event for 2 days on the weekend including formal and informal activities. We plan to have the annual alumni meet with a special celebration for the batch of 2012. The first online interaction with the class of 2012 was held on 11 June 2022.

Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad celebrated its Second Alumni Day on November 28,m 2021, in hybrid mode. The Institute has announced the 2nd set of Alumni Awards with a special Women Alumni Excellence Award to encourage Women Alumni. The following alumni have received the awards under categories:

1. Dr Anindita Ghosh, PhD, Department of LA (2018), Academic Excellence Award
2. Ms Rini Chowdhury, MSc, Department of CHY (2016), Women Alumni Excellence Award
3. Dr Mahendra Kumar Pal, MTech, Department of CE (2012), Excellence in Alumni Relations
4. Mr Shabaz Basheer Patel, BTech, Department of EE (2013), Excellence in Technological Innovations

IIT Hyderabad celebrated its first Alumni Day on 5th January 2020. This year, the Institute also announced the first set of Alumni Awards. The following received the awards under categories:

1. Mr. Sai Chandra Teja R. (M. Tech.- E. E., Batch - 2012) awarded 'Excellence in Alumni Relations'
2. Mr. Pranay Ramesh Patil (B. Tech. - E. E., Batch - 2013) awarded 'Excellent Services to the National Programs'
3. Mr. Ankit Mishra (B. Tech. - E. E., Batch - 2014) awarded 'Excellence in Entrepreneurship'
4. Dr. Dan Sathiaraj (PhD - MSME., Batch - 2016) awarded 'Excellence in Academics'
5. Dr. Bhavesh Garg (PhD - L. A., Batch - 2018) awarded 'Excellence in Academics'

On this occasion Prof. B.S. Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad, announced that we will celebrate “Alumni Day” for IIT Hyderabad from this year onwards.
